It's been 10 years since we started the label; a lot has changed, and a lot hasn't. Who would have thought that a small net label would have lasted this long?
Formed in 2008 as a digital label, we have successfully established the strategy to offer a large part of the repertoire as a net label under a free license. Now, we can look back at more than 150 releases which can still be found at archive.org. Next to those, there have been more than 100 CD or Vinyl releases in the Dark Wave-, Gothic-, Post Punk- and Independent-Genre.
Within the last 10 years, nameable indie bands like THE SEARCH and EMERALD PARK, as well as the Gothic Rock / Dark Wave veterans GOLDEN APES and the up-and-coming Post-Punk ensemble PRINCIPE VALIENTE were promoted and established.
On 1st of June, to celebrate our 10-Year-Anniversary, we will publish a free download compilation at Bandcamp containing 29 songs from bands who released CDs with us.

On 25th of May 2018 we will reissue Principe Valiente’s debut album that has defined the band’s own interpretation of Post Punk and Shoegaze to this day. The new edition comes in a special 6-panel-digipack with all original recordings and is available for pre-order.
In addition, the long time out of print album “Choirs of Blessed Youth” will be available again.
…and since all good things come in threes, Principe Valiente will play at this year’s WGT (Wave Gotik Treffen) on 21st of May at Moritzbastei (Leipzig, Germany).

“Change is the only constant” (Heraclitus)
Razmig Tekeyan and change are the only constants when talking about THE SEARCH. Having released 6 EP’s since 1999 under the name ‘The Silverslut’, the band has recorded 9 albums from the time of its formation (2003).
While their early work was dominated by 80’s-influenced new/dark wave and indie rock sound, the 2012 album “Staying Alive in a Country Industrialized” showed the more pop-oriented side of their music for the first time. Major shifts in the line-up since 2012 lead to the first solo effort of the band’s creative mind with last year’s album “Echo”, a minimalistic low-fi recording focusing on composition and lyrics.
15 years after the first album, Razmig Tekeyan – the founder and now sole member of THE SEARCH - decided to record and release the retro-inspired album “A Wave from the Sidelines”; a love letter to the sound of the 80’s meant for people to listen to during a late night drive.
The guitars were put aside while big drums, over-the-top tom fills, and Juno synthesizers united for a challenging yet successful transformation of songs written on acoustic guitar into a “Wall of Sound” reminiscent of the 80’s. The album was recorded and produced by Razmig Tekeyan in the band’s own studio and mastered by Tommy Steuer (TS-Musix Studios, Leipzig).
“’A Wave from the Sidelines’ is my take on the Synth-Wave-genre. I hope people will enjoy listening to it as much as I loved making it.” (Razmig Tekeyan, 2018)

Principe Valiente’s “Running Juveniles” music video is here: a pure celebration of youth and life.
The homonymous song is the third single to be released from the band’s most anticipated latest album “Oceans”. Shot around Östermalm in Stockholm, the video was filmed & edited by the Swedish filmmaker Andreas Hillerborg.

One year after the release of “Songs about Losers”, the Swedish band The Search is back with ten new songs collected on the album “Echo”. This time the creative mind of the band Razmig Tekeyan brings the minimalistic sound to its top.
“Echo” is a low-fi recording where the recorded demo tracks ended up being the final songs on the album; all songs sound more natural, as if played at home under a warm candle light with a guitar. In this calm atmosphere the listener is able to focus on the compositions and lyrics waiting for the emotion-filled stories to unfold.
“Echo” is The Search’s most intimate and earthbound album thus far and increases the curiosity about what comes next.
The album was recorded and produced by Razmig Tekeyan in the band’s own studio and mastered by Tommy Steuer (TS-Musix Studios, Leipzig).
